This is a hybrid role: 3 days in-office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays mandatory).
Required Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Security Architecture and Engineering. Strong experience with Azure cloud security services. Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python, Node.js, or Golang. Solid understanding of IP networking, VPNs, and Cloud Networking (VPC). Practical experience with:
Infrastructure-as-Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible Serverless security and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Cloud native security tools: Azure Defender for Cloud, AWS GuardDuty, GCP Security Command Center CI/CD pipeline security, GitHub Security integrations
Experience conducting security design reviews, creating architecture diagrams, and documenting configurations. Proven ability to manage exception requests and mitigate cloud security risks. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. zure Certifications: Azure Fundamentals or Azure Solutions Architect.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications:
WS or GCP Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, GCP Associate/Professional Security Engineer). Industry security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+). Experience with Wiz, Splunk, Brinqa, and integration of security operations with Slack and Jira. Familiarity with CSPM tools, log aggregation, and security analytics platforms.
About the Role: Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to join our Information Security team. This position is both strategic and hands-on, supporting the security of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), influencing security policies, conducting architectural reviews, and engaging directly with engineering teams to embed security best practices into product development lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Cloud Security SME supporting Infosec strategies and architectural reviews. Identify and reduce cloud security risks by designing and implementing secure cloud solutions. Create technical design artifacts and security documentation to support product and engineering teams. Partner with product teams to develop secure network, serverless, and AI/ML architectures. Guide teams on IAM policies for least privileged access and strong identity governance. Perform architecture and configuration reviews to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Collaborate with public cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP) to optimize security toolsets and services. Evaluate cloud security tools and lead proof-of-value assessments. Mentor junior security team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives. Stay updated on evolving cloud threats and industry best practices.
