Overview
The Electronics Assembler I will assemble and install electronic components and electromechanical products according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Follows drawings and schematics to wire, solder, and assemble electronic components such as diodes, transistors, capacitors, and casings onto circuit boards. An Electronics Assembler uses hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment. Conducts module programming and basic functional testing to monitor and verify quality.
Additionally, Electronics Assembler may disassemble units to repair defects and troubleshoot malfunctions as needed before packaging. Reports to a supervisor. The Electronics Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
Some of the job responsibilities are:
Hand-assemble components into printed circuit boards. Load electronic boards onto wave solder machine. Hand-solder components on boards. Perform various board, bracket and label assemblies. Mask and unmask parts for conformal coating. Test circuit board assemblies. Program microcontrollers. Benefits:

Ability to pick up and assemble small electronic and mechanical parts. Ability to sit, stand for long periods. Ability to lift items up to 35 lbs. Preferences:
Prior work experience in an electronics manufacturing area. Ability to recognize a wide range of electronic components. Previous soldering and de-soldering experience.
