Duties and Skill Requirements:
Plans numerical control programs to control contour path machining of parts for CNC machine tools. Analyzes manufacturing plans, drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine dimensions, configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speed and feed rates. Requires 2+ years of related experience in aerospace manufacturing of machined components. Programming experience using NX software is a solid requirement.
