Job Description:
Under supervision, provides advanced applications development work on complex mainframe and web-based applications. Responsible for all phases of SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, and maintenance. Focuses on developing new applications and supporting existing ones, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet business needs and timelines. Researches legislative impacts and provides analysis to management.
Adheres to ETF and state standards, policies, and best practices, including code repositories, change management, problem tracking, documentation, and project management. Extensive experience in analysis, design, and coding with tools like Java, DB2, COBOL, CICS, and JCL is required.
Works well as part of a team or as a project lead.
Goals and Activities:
Design, develop, and support complex applications following standards and best practices.
Identify and document business requirements using analysis techniques.
Evaluate and choose feasible methods to meet requirements.
Design applications with usability and accessibility in mind, documenting designs for review.
Provide technical expertise in designing complex application components.
Coordinate system development and integration, ensuring compatibility and technical feasibility.
Develop or modify programs using ETF standard tools and approaches.
Ensure applications minimize exposure to risks.
