This position will be based at a central location - Aurora or DCN campus.
Location:In-person, travel to all CEC campuses is required.

Position Purpose:
The Food Services Coordinator works under the supervision of the Food Services Manager and the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the overall operations of CEC's Kitchen, Farm-to-School, and vending machines at all CEC campuses, and other tasks as assigned. The Food Services Coordinator is an in-person position at a centrally located CEC High School campus. The successful candidate will work critically with Colorado Early Colleges (CEC) Food Services for all aspects of food services, including but not limited to menu, compliance, vending machines, and help in the kitchens as needed, as well as work closely with kitchen teams to ensure that the proper National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and CEC Food Service regulations are being followed correctly.
This position also assists with frequent communication between kitchen teams and the Food Services Manager. It requires flexibility, a willingness to learn, and the ability to innovate in all areas of the CEC Food Services department.
Job Duties:
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all assigned department applications (Titan, Telemetry, Crane SimpliFi). Act as the liaison between department staff and the application vendor(s). Assists the Food Service Manager on employee onboarding and training. NSLP menu management and upholding all standards that the Colorado Department of Education, Colorado Charter School Institute, and CEC food services. Coordinate the Farm to School program. Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) application processing and direct certification that may include communication with CEC families. Point of Service (POS) management and training. Serves as a key part of building a positive, team-centered culture in the department, with emphasis on connecting with kitchen teams and coordinating requests and tasks between stakeholders. Serve as a substitute in all kitchen production roles on an as-needed basis. Responsible for accurate record-keeping and documentation of all assigned areas. Participates as a member of the Food Services leadership team, collaborating on tasks, projects, and initiatives. Supports 'front of house' design, process, and expectations. Training staff on department applications and front-of-house tasks. Works with the Food Services Manager to schedule, organize, and communicate food service staff training. Documents training and builds tools to help develop and implement training programs for Food Services. Excellent communication skills and outgoing, and please work with all school staff. Assists the Food Services Manager in creating meal plans and identifying opportunities for recipe improvements. Ensures compliance with all applicable food safety laws and guidelines, working with department staff to remediate as necessary. Additional tasks assigned by Chief Operating Officerand Food Services Manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Certificate. 3 years relevant experience working in kitchens ServeSafe certified preferred. Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills. Computer experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
