Objective:
The Consulting Associate role is an entry-level position designed to provide administrative support to Executive Consultants while managing a portfolio of small business clients. The Consulting Associate will work closely with clients’ carriers and claims administrators to ensure that claims are managed proactively and reserved appropriately. This role will produce timely client reports that accurately reflect their efforts and outcomes. The Consulting Associate will also assist Executive Consultants in servicing and maintaining all contracted services.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with carriers and claims administrators to gather necessary information through RMIS or direct requests.
- Prepare consulting clients for policy year services and collaborate with our support team (Patra) to ensure timely and efficient task completion.
- Assist with the Aged Receivable report and recovery of outstanding payments.
- Manage the monthly Book of Business Report Generation.
- Execute EPIC Activities promptly.
- Oversee a specific portfolio of small business/tracking clients.
- Assist consultants with preparing for client meetings and claim reviews.
- Deliver services according to the agreements with individual clients, adhering to timeline commitments, including consulting reports, mod calculations and analysis, claim reviews, client meetings, and sales presentations.
- Collaborate with all members of the Consulting team, providing backup support as needed.
- Adhere to HIB Consulting Division Service Standards as established by HIB Corporate.
- Take responsibility for all aspects of a Consulting client, the consulting contract, and consulting services.
- Utilize available technological tools to efficiently manage workload and obtain client information.
- Participation in educational training sessions (both online and in person) to enhance your understanding and expertise in this role.
- Special projects or duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education – High School graduate or equivalent required.
- 1 to 3 years of administrative experience in an office setting. Customer-facing work experience is required. Insurance experience is preferred.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills are required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be comfortable using web-based platforms.
- Professional demeanor and behavior are required, as referenced in the Heffernan Habits.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is$50,000to$60,000. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.This role will be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
