UW Meat and Food Science work study- Animal Science Department

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
Animal Science Department
Job location: Animal Science and Molecular Biology Department
Pay rate or range: $14.00
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist the UW Meat and Food Science programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist with meat science program needs, specifically related to the UW Meat Judging team and Food Science Club
-pack and unpack for MJT trips
-submit expense report for MJT
-organize financial summary of MJT income and expenses
-create promotional material and print supplies
-prepare for caterings
-other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Agriculture or STEM major.
EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS:
This experience would be most beneficial to careers in the Animal Science/Science fields. Students will gain knowledge and understanding about department research, create connections and collaborate with faculty and staff.
