DBG Health is seeking a strategic and technically astute General Manager of Technology Operations and Information Security to lead the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable tech infrastructure across a high-growth, innovation-focused organisation. Reporting to the CIO and based in Melbourne, you’ll shape the future of DBG’s workplace technology, cyber security, infrastructure, and service delivery—while fostering a high-performance team culture. If you’re a collaborative leader with deep Microsoft ecosystem expertise and a proven track record in cloud, infrastructure, and cyber ops, this is your opportunity to make a real impact at scale
Role & Responsibilities:
Lead Technology Operations Strategy: Develop and execute a technology roadmap that supports DBG’s growth, digital transformation, and operational efficiency. Drive Service Excellence: Oversee IT service management, including service desk operations, incident response, and user experience improvements across all sites. Ensure Infrastructure Reliability: Manage the performance, scalability, and resilience of cloud and on-premises systems (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS). Champion Cyber Security: Lead cyber operations, including threat detection, incident response, and compliance with NIST, ISO27001, HIPAA, and GDPR standards. Govern Risk & Compliance: Maintain IT risk registers, ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, and oversee audits and certification programs. Oversee Network and Workplace Technology: Ensure secure, high-performing connectivity across offices, labs, and distribution centres. Lead and Develop Teams: Build a high-performing, collaborative operations team with clear career pathways and a culture of accountability. Vendor & Budget Management: Manage vendor relationships (MSPs, SOCs, SaaS), optimise licensing, and oversee a significant operational IT budget. Enable Business Growth: Support M&A, new site integration, and digital product rollouts with scalable, secure technology solutions. Drive Innovation & Sustainability: Champion continuous improvement and explore opportunities to enhance energy efficiency and support ESG initiatives 28th July, 2025

Skills & Experience:
Proven Leadership in technology operations, infrastructure, service delivery, and cybersecurity in a mid-to-large, fast-paced organisation. Deep technical expertise across Microsoft 365 and Azure, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), enterprise networks (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN), and ITIL-based service management. Strong cybersecurity knowledge, including threat detection, incident response, SOC management, and compliance with NIST and ISO27001 frameworks. Exceptional people leadership, with experience building and managing high-performing, cross-functional technology teams. Commercial acumen, with skills in vendor and budget management, contract negotiation, and license optimisation. Effective communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts into business value for executive stakeholders. Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, health, or FMCG. Exposure to regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, TGA). Experience supporting international operations and/or M&A technology integration. Knowledge of automation, AI, and sustainability practices in IT. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (essential). Certifications in Microsoft Azure, ITIL, CISSP/CISM, or NIST/ISO27001 frameworks
