Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cloud Database Administrator to support an intel program focused on cloud development.This position will be fully remote. Responsibilities of the Cloud Database Administrator include: Manage and maintainOracle and PostgreSQL databases in both on-premises and AWS cloud environments. Design, implement, and optimizeAWS database services such as RDS, Aurora, and Redshift to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability. Automate routine database tasksusing scripting languages like Python, Shell, or AWS Lambda. Monitor database performanceusing AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other monitoring tools; proactively identify and resolve issues. Implement and testdatabase backup, failover, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teamsto integrate database solutions into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Ensure database securityby managing access controls, encryption, and compliance with federal security standards. Develop and maintain documentationfor database configurations, procedures, and best practices. Troubleshoot complex database issuesand provide timely resolutions to support application and business needs.
