Job Description Director, Strategic Initiatives plays a critical role driving design and execution of key strategic projects and initiatives in the US AA Marketing organization. Role will also serve as a bridge between the Marketing organization and the rest of the organization, collaborating with additional teams (Allergan Medical Institute, Strategic Planning, Personalization & Analytics, Tech and MABI, as well as broader Abbvie teams. Role will report to the VP Marketing, working cross-functionally with the BOTOX, JUVEDERM,Body and SKM Marketing teams. THE ROLE: Work with Brand Marketing leaders to
address key business challenges and opportunities, and ensure alignment with US AA strategic priorities Develop comprehensive,
data-backed assessments and business cases to validate and prioritize strategic initiatives
for the Marketing team, helping
drive them to execution Build relationships across the business to drive
cross-functional collaboration Build, monitor, and report Marketing
OKRs and KPIs
to
measure the performance
and impact on Allergan business from a Customer, Field and Consumer perspective, educating and empowering teams with critical decision support information Conduct analyses and modelling of Marketing efforts and
go-to-market performance to develop strategic, high-impact insights that improve performance and future efforts Leading
ad
hoc special projects
on a day-to-day basis, shaping thinking and driving execution, partnering with internal colleagues and external parties Serve as a bridge between the Marketing organization and the rest of US AA Serve as
liaison to Strategic Planning , representing Marketing organization in US AAs business planning and business reviews, to surface insights for proactive decision making in executive forums Represent Marketing organization in budgeting and financial forecasting
efforts, and Abbvie Finance, as well as in
Media planning
exercises Ensure
alignment between marketing organization efforts, Sales and Alle Product roadmap Work
cross-functionally with AMI to help develop an overall strategy for Allergan training
initiatives Drives the Strategic response to cross functional report outs that include but are not limited to Business Reviews with CEO, CFO etc…. LRP Planning with Finance, GCD and other partners Annualized business planning with cross functional partners
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. 10+ years experience in a complex, matrix organization including: 5-7 years in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, 5+ years demonstrated experience running large scale projects effectively. Demonstrated ability to design and implement new frameworks and capabilities from concept through execution. Proven strength in strategic planning, organizational design, and leading through ambiguity. A high level of oral and written communication skills is required. Program management experience with demonstrated decision-making is required. Person must have demonstrated ability to work under pressure, to think strategically in problem solving and decision-making.
