To fully unlock the potential of this opportunity, Terabase is developing an interconnected software and construction automation platform. We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world. Our team is a blend of solar-industry veterans and newbies, thought-leaders, dreamers, software, electrical and mechanical engineers, coders, product managers, project managers, and sales and marketing professionals. The Role The Director of Supply Chain is a key leader helping to shape Terabase’s supply chain strategy and procurement process, reporting directly to the COO. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, SCADA, Accounting, and Corporate Operations teams to support developing and delivering products that are transforming how large-scale utility power plants are designed and constructed. Our company is pioneering the future of clean energy infrastructure by shifting 70–80% of solar power plant assembly from the field to factory-based environments through automation, advanced manufacturing, and smart construction techniques. The Director of Supply Chain will be instrumental in ensuring our supply chain strategy is aligned with this operational evolution, including procurement for SCADA systems, industrial components, and factory assembly technologies. Responsibilities Build and lead a resilient, scalable supply chain that supports the development, deployment, and operational readiness of our field assembly plants and related technologies Develop and execute supply chain strategy to support operational goals, ensuring reliable procurement of components for SCADA systems, industrial controls, motors, actuators, and factory automation equipment Identify, qualify, and manage domestic and international vendors, manufacturers, and contract manufacturers—especially for high-tech and precision components Lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships, including the development of contracts, master service agreements (MSAs), and performance metrics Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and transition to scalable production, ensuring alignment across engineering, SCADA, and operations teams Drive ERP system design to support and maximize the procurement and logistics functions. Develop and refine operational dashboards for end-to-end supply chain visibility Partner with SCADA teams to ensure timely sourcing of PLCs, sensors, communication equipment, and other key SCADA-related components Assess cost structures of metal fabrication, automation assemblies, and electro-mechanical components, and reverse engineer quotes as needed to drive value Contribute to operational planning, including inventory strategy, production planning, and material flow optimization aligned with business scaling goals Desired Qualifications 10-15 years of increasing experience managing supply chain teams Some knowledge of sourcing SCADA systems, motors, robots, actuators, and industrial automation components or equivalents Proven track record in building supply chains across domestic and international markets, including qualifying and managing strategic suppliers, contracts and turnkey solutions Experience with metal manufacturing and a solid understanding of cost drivers in fabrication and assembly Strong project management, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems, with a strong preference for those who can align systems with operational KPIs and reporting needs Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and competing priorities under time constraints Willingness and ability to sufficient domestic and international travel to engage vendors and oversee supply operations Experience establishing strategic contract manufacturing relationships in industrial assembly and/or automation supply chains What We Offer Generous time off and holiday policy Remote flexibility Flexible time off Stock options Home office set up allowance Building a team – working with teams overseas Seniority level
