The IT Administrator plays a central role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and lifecycle of endpoint systems, hardware infrastructure, and enterprise desktop services. Operating above the foundational support tier, this position is expected to provide advanced technical assistance beyond Tier 1-2, coordinate with engineering teams, and support complex deployments and escalations. The IT Administrator is part of a structured support organization and contributes to continuous improvement, documentation, and standardization efforts while mentoring IT Support Technicians and aligning with the engineering team structure.

Associate's degree in information technology or related field OR three (3) or more years of equivalent IT support, systems, or infrastructure administration experience. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Windows environments, with experience across M365, identity access, endpoint security, and hardware. Familiarity with Freshservice or comparable ITSM platforms, including use of knowledge base, change, and asset modules. Demonstrated ability to support escalated issues from support technician levels and coordinate with engineering roles. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to contribute to documentation and support materials. Manage relationships with trust, honesty, respect, and integrity. Ability to consistently provide world-class and excellent customer service. Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or related vendor credentials. Familiarity with Intune, SCCM, SmartDeploy, or ManageEngine for desktop deployment and compliance. Working knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, file sharing, and remote support tools. Experience with scripting (PowerShell), endpoint monitoring, or software packaging. Exposure to healthcare or regulated IT environments and technology compliance. Duties and Responsibilities:
Resolve escalated technical issues beyond Tier 1-2 across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and user access systems. Collaborate with engineering staff on deployments, configuration standardization, and lifecycle planning. Manage and document assigned incidents and service requests using Freshservice. Contribute to the design and upkeep of support documentation and KB articles. Participate in desktop automation, scripting, and endpoint configuration management initiatives. Support mass deployments, upgrades (e.g., Windows 11), and clinical go-lives with technical precision. Assist in maintaining accurate hardware/software inventories and device lifecycle tracking. Identify gaps in support workflows and recommend improvements to service processes. Contribute to onboarding/offboarding and systems access coordination. Serve in on-call and after-hours support rotations as assigned. Each caregiver is responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards into their daily work:

Regularly on-site during scheduled shifts and quickly responsive, remote support when allowed or approved, occasional travel. Primarily office-based, frequent computer use; could involve long-term walking, standing, bending, or assisting with physical aspects of projects in clinical or administrative areas. Rounding during go-lives is common. Lifting and carrying of IT hardware and materials (up to fifty (50) pounds). Participation in scheduled shift coverage and on-call support for emergencies, maintenance, and upgrades. Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and service-oriented communication in all interactions.
