Located in Upstate South Carolina, HR Compliance Partners specializes in providing expert HR consulting services to small and mid-sized organizations. We focus on streamlining human resource functions to help businesses achieve their goals efficiently and effectively.
We are supporting the City of Inman in their search for a visionary and dynamic Director to lead their Main Street revitalization efforts. This full-time position involves working closely with local businesses, community organizations, and government agencies to enhance Downtown Inman’s economic, social, and cultural vibrancy.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and implementing the Four-Point Approach in Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality, aligned with South Carolina Main Street standards.
- Developing strategic and annual work plans for downtown revitalization and economic development.
- Engaging with community stakeholders, including volunteers, businesses, property owners, and government agencies.
- Managing the Main Street program’s daily operations, including budgeting, reporting, and volunteer coordination.
- Creating and executing marketing campaigns, managing media and communications, and promoting the district.
- Supporting economic development initiatives, including business support, property improvements, and tourism campaigns.
- Organizing and managing events to showcase and promote downtown Inman.
- Monitoring progress and preparing reports to evaluate program success.
- Supervising staff, volunteers, and consultants, fostering a diverse volunteer and partner base.
Qualifications:
- Experience in district management, economic development, or related fields.
- Strong skills in marketing, grant writing, event planning, and community engagement.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks, Canva, and social media; WordPress or WIX experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to traverse the district, lift up to 30 pounds, and operate equipment for events.
Schedule & Location:
- On-site with travel up to 40%.
- 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday.
