This role plays a critical part in enhancing the autonomy, reliability, and flight capabilities of next-generation UAV platforms. You will work closely with engineering teams to integrate avionics, support autonomous missions, and optimize real-time system performance. Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and integration of flight software for autonomous UAV operations, including testing, tuning, and support during flight missions. Enhance software performance for real-time operation, safety, and mission-critical reliability. Integrate flight control systems with various onboard payloads such as Lidar, EO/IR, hyperspectral sensors, and other electro-mechanical subsystems. Work with avionics communication standards including ARINC 429, ARINC 664, and MIL-STD-1553. Support telemetry systems to facilitate data transmission, including vehicle health, mission data, and configuration state to ground systems. Participate in flight test operations, including both autonomous and remote-controlled modes. Core Competencies
Collaborate closely with systems engineers and hardware teams to support the successful deployment of UAV systems. Analyze test and flight data to improve control algorithms and overall aircraft performance. Tune autopilot software using real-world performance feedback and simulation tools. Maintain a proactive approach to continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and system refinement. Desired Qualifications
5-8 years of professional experience in UAV software development, embedded systems, or aerospace software engineering. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with flight control systems such as
Pixhawk ,
ArduPilot , or similar platforms. Proficiency in
C++ ,
Python , or comparable programming languages. Strong knowledge of
Linux-based environments
and real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience with flight data analysis, debugging, and system-level troubleshooting. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a cross-functional engineering team. Familiarity with standard productivity tools (e.G., Microsoft Office Suite).
