HR/Recruiting Coordinator – UNION / NONPROFIT (HYBRID) Our client, a well-regarded local nonprofit organization, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR/Recruiting Coordinator to support their team on a contract basis. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment and is passionate about supporting inclusive hiring practices. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience coordinating recruitment efforts particularly for union-represented roles and will be adept at utilizing HRIS platforms, specifically UKG Ready . This position plays a key role in streamlining recruitment processes, maintaining compliance, and contributing to a collaborative and values-centered HR team. Location: Portland, OR — Hybrid Preferred (3 days/week in office required) Contract Duration: 3–6 months, depending on performance and workload Hourly Rate: $38 Key responsibilities of an HR/Recruiting Coordinator: Source, screen, and interview candidates for unionized roles in janitorial, manufacturing, and warehousing. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic sourcing. Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and shape effective recruitment strategies. Utilize the UKG Ready platform to manage job postings, candidate tracking, and recruitment reporting. Monitor labor market trends and nonprofit recruitment best practices to optimize hiring outcomes. Provide general HR support as needed, based on project priorities and team bandwidth. Qualifications of HR/Recruiting Coordinator: Demonstrated experience recruiting for union roles in nonprofit , light industrial, janitorial, or manufacturing settings. Proficiency in UKG Ready (HRIS). Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
