Job Summary: Operate as part of a team responsible for the 24x7 availability of Geisinger's network, cloud, and data center infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, Server, Storage, Virtualization, and Database support. This opening is for an IT Infrastructure Engineer II, with consideration for higher levels such as Engineer III based on skills and experience. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. Job Duties: Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure maximum availability. Deploy and maintain IT infrastructure components. Consult with project teams for compatibility with existing solutions. Create documentation for systems and infrastructure; inform personnel of new features and limitations. Evaluate new hardware products and upgrades. Follow standard procedures to complete projects and work orders. Assist in assessing Infrastructure Change Management risks. Manage the lifecycle of IT infrastructure components. Verify normal service after repairs or upgrades. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment errors. Possess knowledge in areas such as security, networking, wireless, data centers, cloud, or storage. Respond to incidents, requests, or tickets, taking ownership as needed. Participate in On-Call rotation if required. Follow Method of Procedure (MOP) for upgrades and deployments. Provide guidance to technical personnel in areas of expertise. Work is generally performed in an office environment. The role requires compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
