Mid-Level Software Developer

We have an immediate, full-time need for a skilled, energetic, and driven Mid-Level Software Developer. The Mid-Level Software Developer possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments to develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs to meet Government client business needs. Operating with appreciable latitude, the successful candidate will analyze user needs, design and customize software, develop cloud applications on AWS, and implement user interfaces. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of software development experience, though certifications or past work demonstrating equivalent expertise may be considered, with a proven ability to contribute to deliverables and present effective solutions while working within Agile methodologies and utilizing tools like Atlassian. Job Duties
Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software in an agile development environment Working with DOCUMENTUM or Documentum Foundation Classes Writes code that is able to be reused, testable, and efficient Troubleshoots issues or problems related to software applications Understands, learns, and applies emerging automated build, test, and deployment capabilities; helps develop project teams toward integrating such solutions Makes informed decisions and develops solutions to daily tasks based on past experience Mentors and guides team members who have less experience Addresses problems identified with system integration and capability incurred during testing and implementation of developed software in support of customer objectives Consults with project teams and end users to identify software requirements Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, and application integration and testing tools Resolves issues and problems with software developed and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements Participates in the development of software documentation such as training/user manuals Prefer experience with Java, JavaScript, Ember JS framework, Spring Boot Support CI/CD and DevSecOps efforts to deliver reliable secure applications Update microservices to improve compatibility with external dependencies Support migration from Document 6.7 to 22.x by analyzing, updating, and deploying updated Java applications Perform other duties as assigned Security Clearance Requirements
Secret Clearance (S) required, must be active upon applying. Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of Java and Python agile software development experience, including related tools and frameworks Education Requirements
Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution in computer science, computer engineering, or closely related field preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Desired Skills / Qualifications
Agile scrum, Django, ability to lead and work well within a team, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with Docker and cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus. Location
