SENIOR LEAD FULL STACK DEVELOPER React/TS/Astro Remote Ukraine July 8, 2025 Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Lead Full Stack Developer (React, JS/TS, Astro) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. This role involves working across both frontend (React, Astro) and backend (Strapi CMS, AWS Amplify) technologies. You will be responsible for full-stack tasks, including debugging, performance optimization, SEO improvements, and analytics implementation to ensure a high-quality, user-friendly website experience. Ideal Candidate Has: Strapi or headless CMS experience. Web analytics implementation expertise. AWS certification or advanced cloud knowledge. Experience with enterprise-level website maintenance. Strong problem-solving mindset for inherited codebases. The Role You'll join our 3-person development team working with an established Astro/React website , focusing on enhancement rather than ground-up development. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate on feature development, resolve technical challenges, and help drive meaningful improvements to our web presence. Mid to senior-level Astro framework developer experienced with headless CMS platforms such as Strapi or Contentful Strong spoken and written English is required - daily standups won't be enough. You'll be communicating directly with stakeholders and presenting the product, so clear and confident English is a must. Must overlap with the US team until at least 7:00-8:00 PM UA time to ensure 3-4 hours of shared working hours. What kind of person the team is looking for Strong communication skills - You should speak clearly and feel comfortable talking with business stakeholders. Good English is important. Business mindset - You understand how the business works and can turn ideas or needs into clear technical tasks for the team. Leadership experience - Ideally, you have worked as a Tech Lead or Team Lead . Experience in e-commerce projects is a big plus. Independent and responsible - You can work on your own without constant supervision. You will lead the project while the current lead is on paternity leave. Proactive - The team is not looking for someone who just does what they are told. They need someone who asks questions, gives suggestions, and helps improve the product. Requirements 5 years of full-stack development experience Experience with Astro or a similar static site generator Proven track record in debugging complex web applications Knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG) standards and implementation SEO technical optimization experience AWS services experience, particularly Amplify Git workflow proficiency (Bitbucket/GitHub) Performance optimization and debugging skills Experience working with legacy codebases and technical debt Responsibilities Develop new features and functionality for our existing corporate website Debug and resolve functional issues across the full stack Implement ADA compliance improvements to ensure accessibility standards Optimize website performance and Core Web Vitals Address SEO technical requirements and implement best practices Refactor code and reduce technical debt for better maintainability Work with Strapi CMS to manage and optimize content delivery Monitor and improve analytics implementation (PostHog, GA4, GTM) We offer US and EU projects based on advanced technologies.
