Role Overview The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer will focus on designing, integrating, and optimizing infrastructure solutions across Linux, RHEL, Solaris, and related technologies to support enterprise SAS Analytics Platforms and Data Analytics organizations.
Responsibilities
Design and engineer Linux, Red Hat, Solaris systems on HP, SUN servers, EMC/Dell hardware, and storage solutions.
Configure, tune, and optimize Linux/RHEL servers, including file systems, LVM, virtualization, and clustering.
Administer and optimize Linux Red Hat and Apache servers on HPC clusters.
Design and tune Apache Tomcat web servers.
Manage server virtualization, clustering, and file system configuration.
Manage OpenShift Kubernetes containerization and orchestration.
Administer Puppet automation setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Configure and administer LDAP servers and clustering.
Configure hardware on HP, SUN, EMC/Dell servers and storage hardware.
Manage EMC/Dell storage solutions including backup and restore with Avamar/Data Domain.
Apply security patches, harden servers, and manage vulnerabilities.
Support Linux SAS servers with administration, monitoring, and capacity planning.
Translate business and technical requirements into infrastructure designs.
Document infrastructure solutions.
Required Skills
Strong Linux and UNIX experience (Red Hat, Solaris, etc.).
5+ years working with HP, SUN, EMC, Dell hardware and storage.
Experience designing, setting up, and configuring complex servers and applications, including Apache and Tomcat.
Proficiency in scripting, automation, and system hardening.
Experience with Puppet, LDAP, EMC storage, backup solutions, and network fundamentals.
6+ years supporting server virtualization and clustering.
Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and related container technologies.
Logistics
Remote work 90% in Southern California, 10% onsite in Pasadena.
Contract duration: 18+ months, potential for extension or permanent placement.
COVID-19 vaccination and booster required or valid medical exemption.
Must pass background checks, drug screen, and employment verification.
US Citizen or Green Card holder required; no visa sponsorship available.
W2 employment only; no subcontractors or sponsorship.
