2nd Shift CNC MachinistDepartment: CNC DepartmentEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Xactra Technologies, Inc.Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 / hourDescriptionXactra Technologies is looking for a CNC Turning and Milling Setup/Operator to add to our 2nd shift staff. Xactra Technologies has been in business for 43 years and is a high-performance manufacturing facility supplying custom, high-precision mechanical components and assemblies to the optical industry. The dollar amount reflected in the ad does not include the shift differential. 2nd shift runs Monday through Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2 am, with overtime available on Friday from 11 am to 4 pm. **Not accepting applications from staffing agencies or third-party recruiters.**Key ResponsibilitiesOperate Multi-Axis Mill Turns and or Vertical/Horizontal Milling Machines.Load fixture in the machine with blank parts to be machined or a machined part for one (1) of the part-specific operations, which would be noted on the job router.Utilize measuring devices to accurately measure part characteristics to ensure they meet within part conformance requirements, and document measurements on inspection documents.Seek supervisory help if the machine fails, or measurements get completely outside limits.Document on router production, quality & scrap counts daily.Check to make sure the Coolant or Oil levels are at the proper function levels.Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseCNC machining experience in turning or milling.Optical Industry experience is preferred but not required.Ability to read GD&T CodeAbility to use all measuring tools.Materials experience: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, and Plastics.Set up experience is a huge plus, which would come with a higher rate of pay.Benefits401(k) with a company match of 100% up to 6% of your check.
