The Manager-Aviation Security oversee, manages, and coordinates regulatory security practices at Dallas Love Field. Provides leadership and oversight for security training, security compliance, and security enforcement.
Essential Functions
Manages the daily operations and activities of the airport security personnel; responds to and manages security questions, concerns, or issues and provides concise and clear direction; maintains open line of communications to ensure potential security issues or threats are handled.

Reviews, evaluates, and monitors new and existing Transportation Security Administration Security Directives, National Amendments, and Information Circulars; reviews potential changes to identify concerns or proglems; ensures changes are made by the Airport security staffto ensure airport remains in compliance.

Conducts, performs, and reviews security audits; supports audits performed by Airport Security staff for accuracy and continued compliance with TSA regulatory requirements.

Oversees and managed construction projects for the airport; reviews security plans for of construction proposals to ensure plans meet with TSA approval and regulations.

Serves as the Airport Security Coordinator and acts as the airport's primary and immediate contact for security related activities and communications with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and must be available on a 24-hour basis..

Ensures that the Airport Security Program (ASP) remains up-to-date and that all information within that document meets TSA regulatory requirements.

Leads, oversees, and manages the activities of 8 security compliance positions within the security network; provides quality control, compliance management, and performance feedback.

Monitors and audits the operations of the Badge Office to ensure that processes and procedures continue to remain in compliance with TSA regulatory requirements; serves as the primary contact for any regulatory non-compliance issues that involve either the security compliance or the security badging offices.

Works with TSA to review and authorize submission of any temporary or permanent amendments to the approved security program.

Develops RFPs and reviews submitted RFPs for future and existing contracts; investigates contractual issues or concerns regarding contract security guard and access control maintenance contracts.

Monitors, manages, and coordinates the security division budget; determines necessary funding for system and security upgrades.

Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
Knowledge And Skills
Knowledge of Airport Security Administration

Knowledge of Security regulatory agencies, regulations, standards, ordinances, and directives.

Knowledge of the RFP process and contract writing.

Knowledge of project management.

Knowledge of security compliance assessment processes.

Knowledge of TSA and activities.

Ability to oversee and manage wide ranging aviation security programs and directives.

Ability to monitor security compliance across large organization.

Ability to implement security changes and updates across multi-faceted security system.

Ability to handle security issues with professionalism and tact.

Ability to interpret , communicate, and implement federal requirements among diverse group of people.

Ability to develop and implement budget.

Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Education
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Emergency Preparedness, Hospitality, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Management, or Equivalent.
Experience
Three (3) years of experience in aviation, airport operations, airport badging, auditor, airport facility inspections, or airport/airline security
AND
Two (2) years of supervisory/managerial level experience with responsibility for training and/or development/implementation of policies and procedures. (This experience may be included in the required experience listed above.)
Equivalencies
High school diploma or GED plus seven (7) years of the required experience including two (2) years of supervisory/ managerial level experience will meet the education and experience requirements. An associate degree in a specified field plus five (5) years of the required experience including two (2) years of supervisory/managerial level experience will meet the education and experience requirements. A master's degree (or higher) in any field plus one (1) year of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
License
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Other Requirement
Must pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check.
Salary Range
$73,584.79 - $91,980.98
The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
