Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL. This position involves performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability assessments for total systems, at all levels from concept to disposal.

Essential Functions

• Support Northrop Grumman's Missile Defense Solutions (MDS) Business Unit with strategic engineering activities for weapon systems.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments and collaborative team settings.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree with 10 years, or a PhD with 8 years.
• Experience developing embedded software using C/C++.
• Experience with Java, Python, and other high-level languages.
• Experience with hardware and software integration.
• Agile/DevSecOps experience.
• Ability to travel for extended periods to support installation, integration, and testing.
• Active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Missile Defense Domain.
• Experience with Atlassian toolset.
• Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Active in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $163,200 - $244,800. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and PTO.
