We are seeking an experienced Multi-Specialty Outpatient Coder to join our client's coding team. This role is responsible for accurately coding diagnoses, procedures and services across a variety of outpatient specialties, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and optimizing reimbursement. If you have a strong background in outpatient coding and a CPC or equivalent certification, we encourage you to apply. Multi-Specialty Outpatient Coder Responsibilities: Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for multi-specialty outpatient services, including but not limited to cardiology, orthopedics, oncology and gastroenterology Ensure coding practices adhere to federal regulations, payer requirements and organization policies Review provider documentation to verify code assignment and capture of all relevant services, procedures and diagnoses Maintain high accuracy in coding to support data integrity, reporting and reimbursement Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to address coding-related claim denials and provide corrections or revisions as needed Communicate with providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation discrepancies and improve coding accuracy Multi-Specialty Outpatient Coder Requirements: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) or equivalent coding certification required 2+ years of coding experience in a multi-specialty outpatient setting Proficiency in coding software, EMR systems (experience with EPIC or Cerner is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in reviewing clinical documentation and assigning codes Ability to communicate effectively with providers and clinical teams regarding documentation and coding requirements Familiarity with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid and payer-specific coding guidelines If you meet the qualifications, we invite you to apply today!
