Overview
The System Transition & Development Specialist will provide critical support during the decommissioning of a legacy system, ensuring business continuity and user satisfaction. In parallel, this role will drive the development and implementation of “Documents 2 AI,” a next-generation solution leveraging Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and microservices to automate the ingestion of applications into the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the go-to resource for user support, troubleshooting, and documentation for a retiring legacy system. Coordinate and communicate retirement activities, including data extraction, migration, and validation. Create and maintain comprehensive support resources and end-of-life documentation for the legacy system. Collaborate with IT, business users, and external partners to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and user transition. Lead the technical design, development, and deployment of “Documents 2 AI,” focusing on OCR and microservice architecture. Develop and maintain automated workflows that optimize the ingestion of applications and related documents. Integrate “Documents 2 AI” with existing organizational systems, ensuring high data quality and reliability. Participate in requirements gathering, architecture planning, coding, testing, and deployment for the new platform. Document best practices, technical specifications, and user guides for the new system.

Prior experience supporting retiring or legacy business systems. Demonstrated proficiency in application development, especially with microservices and OCR technologies. Experience in systems integration and process automation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
