Job Description Position Title: Personnel Security Specialist - Entry Reports To: Program Manager Clearance Type: Active Top Secret/SCI (willing to take CI Poly) Work Location: National Capital Region Start Date: On Contract Award Job Description: Advantage SCI is accepting applications to support a federal agency personnel security program. Summary Of Duties Include But Not Limited To: Participates in the direction of less complex security assessment investigations and rendering of appropriate adjudication recommendations. Conducts/reviews/analyzes a variety of interviews. Provides support, analysis, and research into complex PERSEC problems and processes. Completes written reports and/or oral presentations. Initiates/performs extensive indices checks, arrest record checks, and the like to obtain pertinent and identifying information for the cases assigned. Requests, receives, reviews, and analyzes various agency/Government files and related material for determination of an individual's potential security risk. Summarizes data and composes necessary correspondence for initiation of investigation. Issues guidance for the initiation of investigation, setting forth leads which are to be addressed in compliance with existing Federal standards and agency policy. Examines and critically analyzes investigative reports and correspondence for conformance to administrative requirements and to ensure the investigation is adequate, denoted leads have been sufficiently covered, and procedures have been conducted in accordance with agency regulations and policies. Recommends the need for polygraph and/or interviews based upon analysis. Receives, reviews, and analyzes the results of further investigations, along with the results of interviews and polygraph examinations to help determine individual's recommendation for security clearance approval. Summarizes all data provided and developed in a formal written analysis. Coordinates/works In Concert With Other Agency Components As Required. Performs security assessment investigations/provides recommendations. Assists with briefings and debriefings of individual cases as necessary. Auto req ID 451098BR Minimum Education Required Bachelors Job_Category Scientific Research & Development Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Experience and Skills Required Qualifications Must have a current TS/SCI and be willing to take a counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination at the Government’s discretion. Bachelor’s degree Two (2) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field. Experience conducting and interpreting database checks and credit reports. Experience Performing Routine Office Administrative Support Functions. Demonstrated analytical ability to critically review and analyze various types of incoming material and investigative reports to discern potential security vulnerabilities and to identify viable investigative leads.
