The Office of Financial Aid strives to provide the highest quality service to undergraduate, graduate and professional students in pursuit of their academic goals. Our primary objective is to assist students and families in planning for and meeting expenses associated with attendance at the university. At our offices in Camden, Newark, New Brunswick, and Piscataway, we focus on establishing aid eligibility, awarding scholarships, grants, loans, and employment to eligible students as well as providing financial aid counseling to students and families. Reporting to the Associate Campus Director, this position coordinates the Federal Work Study ( FWS ) Program for departments within Rutgers Health, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, supporting student employment and counseling, providing administrative support, and contributing to the effective operation of the financial aid office.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Coordinates the placement of students in approved FWS jobs and monitors compliance with program rules. Serves as the primary liaison for Rutgers Health FWS supervisors, providing guidance on hiring, onboarding, and timesheet procedures. Counsels students on FWS eligibility, opportunities, and responsibilities. Tracks FWS earnings and funding allocations to ensure adherence to federal and institutional requirements. Maintains records, prepares reports, and supports audits and reconciliations related to FWS . Provides general administrative and customer service support to the financial aid office. FLSA FLSA Nonexempt Grade Grade 03 Salary Details Minimum Salary Minimum Salary 52602.480 Mid Range Salary 64788.980 Maximum Salary Maximum Salary 76975.480 Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, if and when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure. Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations, including the administration of the Federal Work-Study program. Experience working with the Federal Work Study program specifically in a health sciences or graduate/professional school setting. Demonstrated familiarity with administrative systems such as Ellucian BANNER or comparable student information systems. Experience coordinating community service placements or partnerships in a college or university setting. Knowledge of federal Title IV regulations and audit or compliance preparation.
