RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bathy County, and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. RACS will provide training, supervision, and education opportunities specific to the position.

Position Overview:
The incumbent in the Child/Adolescent Mental Health Case Manager position is responsible for providing case management services to seriously emotionally disturbed children, adolescents, and their families residing in the catchment area of the Rockbridge Area Community Services Board. Case management services to be provided include needs assessment, linking to services, monitoring services, client and family education, advocacy and outreach.
The incumbent reports to the Child and Adolescent Community Based Services Manager for all case work and clinical duties. In carrying out assigned position responsibilities, he/she receives limited supervision and is required to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate initiative, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, in accordance with RACS policies and procedures and HIPAA.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human services related field from an accredited school required. Zero to one year of clinical experience working with children in a mental health setting required. A valid Virginia driver's license and maintaining a safe driving record according to RACS policy is required. QMHP license preferred.
Background Investigation Requirements : All applicants are subject to a background investigation. Investigations may include fingerprint checks (State Police); local agency checks; employment verification; verification of education (relevant to employment); and other checks based on the position.
Probationary Period : All persons that are newly hired, rehired, transferred, promoted, or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6-month probationary period.
