Key Responsibilities: •Strategic Solution Architecture: Lead the design and continuous improvement of SAP enterprise landscapes, with a holistic view of business processes, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to oil & gas. •Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with executives, business analysts, and operational teams to understand business goals, translate requirements into SAP solutions, and communicate architectural vision and value. •Digital Transformation Enablement: Drive the adoption of intelligent technologies (SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, IoT, AI/ML, predictive analytics) to modernize operations, optimize the hydrocarbon value chain, and improve safety and sustainability outcomes. •Governance and Best Practices: Establish and enforce governance policies, SAP standards, templates, and reference architectures to ensure compliance, security, scalability, and performance across multiple SAP landscapes and business units. •End-to-End Solution Design: Architect and integrate SAP modules (such as SAP IS-Oil, MM, PM, PP, SD, FI, CO, EHS) with legacy and third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process harmonization from exploration to refining and distribution. •Project Leadership: Provide technical direction and oversight for major SAP transformation initiatives, migrations, and upgrades, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards. •Risk Management & Compliance: Implement robust controls for data privacy, cybersecurity, and SOX/GAAP/IFRS compliance, with particular emphasis on regulations unique to the oil & gas sector. •Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, SAP roadmap developments, and disruptive technologies. Recommend and pilot innovations that enhance competitive advantage. •Mentoring & Capability Building: Coach and mentor internal teams, foster knowledge sharing, and enable skills uplift in both SAP technologies and industry-specific best practices. Provide thought leadership on SAP best practices, emerging technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, predictive maintenance), and industry innovations.
Key Skills/Knowledge: •SAP certification(s) (e.g.S/4HANA Architect, IS-Oil Functional Consultant, SAP Activate). •TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certifications. •Experience with SAP integration to energy trading platforms. •Exposure to DevOps, Agile, or SAFe methodologies in SAP project delivery. •Experience with cloud platforms (SAP B TP, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid IT architectures.

Qualifications: •Bachelors or masters degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. •10+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years as an enterprise architect or solution architect within oil & gas or another asset-intensive industry. •Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP IS-Oil, and related modules (MM, PP, SD, FI, CO, EHS), including project experience in greenfield/brownfield implementations, upgrades, and cloud migrations. •Strong understanding of the hydrocarbon value chainexploration, production, transportation, refining, marketing, and retail. •Familiarity with integration technologies (PI/PO, API Management, BTP), and experience with SAP Analytics, Mobility, and Security solutions. •Knowledge of regulatory, safety, and sustainability requirements within the oil & gas sector (e.g., environmental compliance, safety management, carbon reporting). •Demonstrated ability to engage with C-level executives, present architectural strategies, and build consensus across diverse teams. •Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 a year
