Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Research Assistant on the Gainesville campuses. With the help of their research project advisor, the research assistant will plan and conduct STEM-related experiments for up to two semesters or one semester and one summer.
Responsibilities
Plan general experimental design with the help of research advisor. Conduct research tasks as described in experimental design. Analyze results of experiments and formulate conclusions in consultation with research advisor. Write summary report and/or create research poster for presentation at a scientific conference, if appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities General knowledge of the scientific process. Ability to work safely and independently in a laboratory setting.
Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in the minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker. Successful completion of at least one semester of UNG's CSM lab courses.
