Description Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Associate/Principal Engineer, Hydrogeologist, or Scientist in a related field to join our successful team of remediation professionals within our Environmental Services Group. The candidate will lead projects and pursuits in the Sediments market, guiding a dedicated team towards profitable growth and project execution. The individual will serve as the sediment practice lead, overseeing sediment remediation projects, providing design expertise, and guiding projects through investigation, remedy evaluation, design, construction, and restoration phases. This role includes leading national business development efforts to expand our sediment portfolio. Responsibilities include: Develop and execute strategic plans to capture project leads, convert designs to construction opportunities, and grow sales in sediment remediation. Lead teams in investigations, feasibility studies, treatability studies, site modeling, remedial design, and implementation. Manage data collection, analysis, and interpretation, ensuring adherence to industry standards. Oversee large/complex sediment projects, including financial management, proposal preparation, and performance targets. Provide leadership and technical guidance to staff, support client communications, and represent the company at professional meetings. Build and maintain client and contractor relationships to foster new business opportunities. Ensure QA/QC compliance and safety adherence. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related field; 7+ years of consulting experience (15+ preferred). Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience. Proven leadership with sales and portfolio growth in remediation. Expertise in sediment fate, transport, and active remediation methods. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CERCLA, RCRA, permits). Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Compensation:
$155,000 - $260,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, including a base salary and potential bonuses. Benefits:
