Position Description
Seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. The Senior Accountant will assist the CFO, Controller, and Accounting Manager.
Position Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and facilitate the accounts payable/receivable process.
- Liaise with service providers (fund administrator, audit and tax teams, etc.).
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial statement audits, tax returns, and regulatory/compliance filings.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other transactions for funds and the management company.
- Process and review transactions related to the Funds’ investments and expenses.
- Monitor banking activity and process/review transactions, including wire transfers and line of credit requests.
- Assist with the review of credit card transactions and reconciling items.
- Assist with the preparation of company budgets.
- Maintain organized and thorough accounting documentation.
- Perform other related tasks or projects as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting.
- 2-4+ years of professional experience.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus but not necessary.
- Ability to self-manage and work with teams located out-of-state.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn, take on challenges, and prioritize.
- Demonstrated interest in Accounting and Finance.
- Compensation: DOE.
