The Senior Director of Assessment will report to the Vice President of Talent Management within the Global Talent & Learning (GTL) CoE. This leader will develop and execute a multi-year, global assessment strategy aligned with enterprise objectives, transforming Walmart's assessment approach across all levels and regions. Responsibilities include connecting skills-based philosophies with assessment solutions, expanding assessment use into new markets, and driving data analytics to inform talent decisions. Collaboration with leadership, Product, Technology, and business units is essential. Key Responsibilities
Design and implement an integrated assessment strategy to foster a high-performance culture and strong leadership pipeline. Partner with segment CPOs to leverage assessments for solving talent challenges and driving key KPIs such as retention and NPS. Lead a team of SMEs in job profiling, skills measurement, and validation initiatives. Act as a thought leader, representing Walmart externally on skills measurement initiatives. Drive research on the ROI and impact of assessments enterprise-wide. Support executive reviews and talent discussions with data insights. Expand assessment practices into international markets. Collaborate with Legal to mitigate risks. Oversee the administration of 360 surveys and developmental assessments. The Person
15+ years in Assessment and/or Talent Management roles, with experience across global organizations. Strategic mindset for driving high performance and employee growth. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Strong analytical skills, proficient with statistical tools (Python, R). Experience working with senior management and building trusted relationships.
