Join Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) as a Software Development Engineer, where your innovative contributions will power the dynamic engine at the heart of Amazon's fulfillment network. In this role, you will develop and operate the software, hardware, and processes that manage the global network of fulfillment centers, ensuring we move billions of units of inventory effectively and deliver seamless customer experiences. At AFT, we are passionate about automating and accelerating product delivery using cutting-edge software and hardware technologies. Our team employs advanced algorithms and real-time data processing within large-scale distributed systems. We utilize object-oriented programming languages, Elastic Map Reduce, DynamoDB, and other AWS technologies to create solutions that tackle challenges such as scaling for Amazon's massive order volume and achieving ultrafast order fulfillment. As part of our collaborative team of exceptional engineers, you'll participate in: Designing, implementing, and deploying large-scale systems in support of fulfillment operations. Developing secure, scalable, and efficient services and physical processes. Decomposing complex problems into straightforward solutions while understanding system interdependencies. Sharing expertise in performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering best practices. Your contributions will significantly enhance the software solutions that impact delivery processes from product selection to customer orders. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating as an individual contributor on product features, from gathering requirements to implementation and operational support.
