An employer is looking for a SW Graphics Engineer III in the Redmond, WA area. This role involves working closely with hardware engineers to understand the software being automated and to develop solutions to automate both the testing process and robotic arm operations for the AI/AR Smartglasses. The candidate will be responsible for reading technical manuals and translating them into actionable automation strategies for robotic systems that simulate human movement in a 60-degree view environment. Operating within a closed lab, the specialist will control robotic arms via computer systems, ensuring accurate simulation and measurement through integrated camera systems. Key responsibilities include writing test applications, particularly graphics apps, automating software workflows, and contributing to the development of test automation frameworks for robotic systems. Skills and requirements: Knowledge of computer graphics, familiar with graphics APIs including Vulkan / DirectX and hardware pipelines Experience in modern software development environments and practices, including unit testing, source control, and continuous integration Proficiency in C, C++, and Python, strong software development / optimization and debugging skills Strong automation experience Capable of writing high-quality, performant, maintainable and testable code Experience in one or more of the following: game development, graphics driver development, graphics performance analysis, graphics debugging, AR/VR, Android development Collaborate smoothly across multiple internal teams, being able to drive the project individually
