Location: - 100% Remote Contract: 12 month(s)+ Job Summary:
The Engineer for DDI will be part of the Network Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) project engineering team. The right candidate will be a subject matter expert in designing and implementing next-gen DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions across networks serving Property Networks, Datacenter/Cloud Networks, and Corporate Networks. This role will work closely with a matrix team of network architects and engineers to drive adoption of SRE practices across all network product towers globally. As the Senior Network Engineer for DDI, the candidate will focus on building a solid foundation of DDI services that are highly available across global locations. Reporting to senior leadership, the engineer will articulate and deliver effective DDI solutions to meet the increasing complexity and scale of modern IT systems. The role involves implementing efficient DDI services that are cost-effective and provide high ROI, establishing technical relationships, and partnering with various teams and vendors to define and implement the Network SRE DDI roadmap, and enforcing standards. Required Education and Experience:
10+ years of experience in information technology, including developing network solutions utilizing DDI expertise in mission-critical networks. Good exposure to Route 53. Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting DDI appliances from vendors like Infoblox, BlueCat, EfficientIP. Experience configuring SaaS-based DDI solutions from AWS, Azure, and other cloud providers. Experience implementing DNS security policies and resolution policies. Experience managing DNS zones, zone transfers, DHCP scopes, and options across multiple environments. Experience designing and implementing IP address management techniques including subnetting and supernetting. Experience integrating DDI solutions with network management and monitoring tools. Experience scripting for automating DNS, DHCP, and IPAM tasks. Hands-on experience resolving complex networking issues related to DDI protocols. Experience designing and implementing NTP solutions for data centers and cloud providers. Experience gathering requirements, documenting, and managing network solution designs throughout project lifecycles. Knowledge of foundational data networking and IP technologies (DNS, DHCP, NTP, ARP, TCP/IP, UDP, NAT). Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. Proven ability to deliver detailed network solution documents and diagrams. Experience working with Agile methodologies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and user stories. Seniority Level:
