$186,500.00/yr - $320,000.00/yr
Job Summary
Responsible for aligning the Retail and Consumer goals to the overall business strategy. Creates and executes actionable programs and products across Walgreens, leveraging initiatives across business groups to fulfill the Retail and Consumer strategy. Responsible for influencing the strategic plan through which the goals, priorities and actionable objectives are achieved. Outcomes directed have a significant impact on the organization's short- and long- term results, specific customers and/or partners. Decisions have significant impact on the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides strategic input for the annual long-range planning cycle and lead process reviews to meet Retail and Consumer financial targets and departmental goals.
- Leads and oversees activities across business groups.
- Collaborates with executive leadership and peers to ensure understanding of key initiatives and results.
- Supports senior leadership planning offsites and assesses business performance.
- Shares highly complex information with senior management and make actionable recommendations, informed by market analysis, on strategic initiatives.
- Grows and optimizes consumer awareness, market share, and specified initiatives.
- Reviews the competitive marketplace and adjusts operational activities based on identified information.
- Supports 3 Year Planning process and ongoing forecasting / budgeting processes
- Builds formal frameworks and methodologies for key strategic issues, leveraging existing resources and creating innovative concepts across the company.
- Provides leadership, direction, and consultation to leaders
- Identifies priority growth initiatives to support the business and required internal investment / external partnership required to enable delivery.
- Ensures proper estimation / allocation of budgets to support growth initiatives
- Establishes KPIs to achieve goals and ensure alignment on key success factors.
- Identifies new growth opportunities and collaborates to establish proper roadmap and deliver across key stakeholders.

The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. - Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in retail or High School/GED and at least 11 years of experience in retail.
- Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, including the executive level.
- Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget.
- Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
- Experience interacting and influencing others at the executive level.
- Experience creating opportunities and leading initiatives that impact ROI and/or an organization's profitability
- At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
- At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross- functional team leadership
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
- Master's degree OR MBA
