Job Description
A global chemical company needs a senior process control/automation engineer with multi-site responsibilities. Platforms DeltaV and AB ControlLogix are important.
Key Points/MUST have:
Extensive experience with
configuration/optimization
of Emerson DeltaV Must have some experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix Extensive experience in plants/operations setting - not desk job Short version:
Senior automation engineer to lead automation projects and troubleshooting efforts at both a main plant and other surrounding operations. (All applications will be regarded as confidential) More Info Work with, through, and between operations, site engineering, EHS, etc., on all things process control Design, upgrade, manage automation projects with both DeltaV and ControlLogix systems Identify and (or) quantify potential issues and design/propose solutions Lead operation-wide efforts with new technology within production, environmental, and emissions control, etc. Experience in designing/improving all areas of a site DCS, including programming Some experience with SRS, SIL ratings, and ISA84 is useful Work with site personnel, compare personnel from other sites, contractors/subs Required: Degree in engineering; 10+ years with appropriate systems required Experience in as much of the above as possible Must know DeltaV (including managing configuration) and ControlLogix Most experience in a plant or multi-plant/site setting Good with people! This is a position working across groups; a key strategic role Travel to local plants; rare (under 10%) to assist at plants out of region or for training Able to work in an active plant setting with potentially hazardous areas Salary is at or can be significantly over $150k - $165K, plus bonus, etc.
