Statistical Programmer Analyst
to support the BIOS Clinical Trials Coordinating Centers (CTCC) Research Program and Clinical Trials Unit, which manages multi-center, 20+ million dollar federally funded clinical trials and multiple site-specific pharmaceutical sponsored trials. The Analyst will collaborate with study investigators on research projects with the responsibility of contributing to the statistical sections of the protocol, drafting statistical analysis plans, creating analytic datasets, producing ongoing trial reports and final analysis, and preparing manuscripts. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Provide statistical considerations for study protocols. Perform sample size and power calculations, generate randomization schema, and prepare statistical sections for research protocols and manuscripts. Collaborate with principal investigators and lead statisticians to develop study objectives, randomization, design sampling, and statistical analysis plans (SAPs). Review and provide feedback on electronic case report forms (eCRFs) to the data management team. Create and review analysis dataset specifications for Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) meetings and main trial manuscript as outlined in the SAP. Generate Tables, Listings, and Figures (TLFs) for Data and Safety Monitoring Reports. Create and manage Data and Safety Monitoring Report production timelines. Create safety surveillance report templates: listings of adverse events and protocol deviations. Provide statistical output as required for manuscripts and ensure that the results are accurately interpreted in the publications. Perform appropriate methodologic procedures for statistical analysis, overall descriptive statistics, exploratory data analyses, including graphs, schematic summaries, and necessary transformations and confirmatory data analyses, including statistical tests and/or modeling. Assist with writing statistical design, methods, and analysis for manuscripts and research proposals. Analyze data and prepare tables for interim and final reports. Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with investigators and team that require statistical input. Ensure data integrity and compliance with security policies governed by HIPAA and the Johns Hopkins IRB. Other duties within the scope of the statistical duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. One-year related experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative field. Mastery in proficiency of R and R markdown programming and SAS programming. Experience in database software. STATA programming proficiency. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications.
