The Impact You'll Make in this Role As a System Control Tech, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Programming/edit/troubleshoot: This involves working with various programmable systems and equipment, which is crucial for maintaining and improving automated processes. Diagnosing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis: Being able to identify and resolve equipment failures is essential for minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency. Maintain communication networks and data systems; upgrade software and equipment: Keeping systems updated and functional is key to maintaining smooth operations and communication. Analyze maintenance and equipment performance data: Using data to improve reliability and uptime is important for continuous improvement and quality assurance. Follow the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and all company policies and procedures: Adhering to standards and policies ensures safety and compliance in all operations. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Possess a two-year technical diploma (completed and verified prior to start) or higher OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of two (2) years of electronic PLC (programmable logic controller) controls experience. Must be able to work all shifts 1st, 2nd, 3rd with the ability to work weekends, overtime and holidays as needed. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Physical onsite attendance to perform essential functions of the position Possess a bachelor's degree in an electronics or electrical maintenance field from an accredited institution Minimum of five (5) years of electronic PLC (programmable logic controller) controls experience. Prior experience in mining or manufacturing. Prior experience troubleshooting and programming of Schneider PLCs and motor control Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and possess a good understanding of computer and network fundamentals Possess demonstrated knowledge of PdM, PM, and condition monitoring techniques. Certified and licensed Electrician in the state of California Critical thinking, problem solving, customer service, troubleshooting skills, and possess a good understanding of motor drive controls Ability to communicate effectively throughout and work with cross-functional teams Pay & Benefits The starting rate of pay for this position is $48.77. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
