Overview
Responsibilities for Privacy Provisions of the E-Government Act and FISMA include:
Preparing and reviewing system authorization packages
Selecting, implementing, and assessing privacy controls
Drafting and reviewing privacy impact assessments
Developing and providing privacy-related training
Auditing programs and information systems that process PII
Drafting and reviewing privacy notices, policies, and procedures
Assisting with the response to a breach in accordance with Federal privacy laws and policies
Reviewing incident reports and evaluating the risk to potentially impacted individuals
Supporting breach response table-top exercises
Drafting and reviewing privacy reports, such as the privacy-related reports required under FISMA
Requirements for This Position:
Three (3) years of experience interpreting, implementing, and applying the privacy provisions of the E-Government Act and FISMA, including OMB’s guidance.
Experience with Microsoft Office software (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Bachelor’s degree.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) years of experience interpreting, implementing, and applying the privacy provisions of the E-Government Act and FISMA, including OMB’s guidance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer/Data Science, Information/Data/Knowledge Management, Law, Management Information Systems, Paralegal Studies, or Public Administration.
