Summary:
• The Program Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, creating, programming, and ensuring strong execution of classes, club, and/or camps at Newton Community Education.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree • Excellent interpersonal skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to take initiative and be a team player • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; creative problem solver • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in educational or community programming environments • Ability to handle a multitude of varying and complex tasks • Proficient in G-suite, including Spreadsheets and Presentations, and able to master and use registration software • Ability to staff community events and meetings on evenings and weekends 7-10 per year • Valid driver's license • Knowledge of small business operations, especially in the field of continuing education
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):
Program Development : Lead the planning and execution of classes, clubs, and camps Trend Research : Seek and develop information, including through surveys and focus groups, about trends and market demand to align program offerings with community needs. Program Evaluation : Analyze enrollment data and customer feedback to inform decisions on course renewals and development. Revenue and Mission Alignment : Expand program offerings and revenue in support of NCE's mission. Vendor and Instructor Recruitment : Recruit and hire diverse instructors and vendors to enhance program quality, meet community demand, and drive enrollment. Program/Camp Staff Training and Supervision : Lead training and management of staff (instructors, coaches, counselors, vendors). Responsibility requires regular direct observation of instruction, including during programming on evenings and weekends, coaching, and evaluation. Budgeting, Pricing, and Monitoring : Prepare course budgets, negotiate instructor/vendor compensation, and set course pricing based on financial goals. Monitor enrollment, revenue, and associated costs prior to and during sessions. Course Descriptions : Write engaging descriptions and supply photos and videos for catalogs, website, and social media. Ensure courses are correctly created in the registration system, making updates as needed. Collaborations : Work with team members to continuously improve processes and procedures and identify actions to better serve the community and improve profitability School and Community Relations : Develop and maintain strong relationships with NPS administration and staff, PTOs, Commission members, and other groups representing our participant base. Team Support : Execute on Operations and Marketing tasks as needed to support the NCE's mission and goals. Professional Development : Maintain a growth mindset and take action for continuous improvement in collaboration with supervisor. Attendance and Other Duties : Maintain reliable attendance and perform other job-related tasks as needed.

Work Environment: Work is performed under typical office conditions. Regular travel to class locations is expected Physical Requirements:
