Key Responsibilities Include: Oversee and manage MEP subcontractors across multiple project sites nationwide, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence Coordinate closely with project management, design teams, and field superintendents to align MEP activities with overall construction progress Monitor installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and safety standards Lead troubleshooting and resolution of MEP-related field issues in a timely and cost-effective manner Enforce rigorous safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among all MEP trades on site Review and manage MEP project schedules, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies Facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain efficient workflow Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets company and client expectations Support project closeout activities including punch lists, commissioning, and turnover of MEP systems Adapt to frequent travel requirements, maintaining consistent oversight and leadership across diverse geographic locations MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. A Successful Candidate for Traveling MEP Manager Possesses: Proven experience managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) trades on large, complex construction projects Strong knowledge of MEP systems installation, coordination, and quality control in commercial or industrial environments Ability and willingness to travel extensively to project sites nationwide Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and field teams effectively Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve field issues quickly and efficiently In-depth understanding of construction schedules, safety regulations, and code compliance Effective communicator with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams including project management, engineering, and subcontractors Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship on time and within budget Proficient with construction management software and tools relevant to MEP coordination and reporting What's on Offer
