VP, Technology & Cyber Risk Oversight Office Status:
Onsite – New York, NY Base Salary:
Up to $190k Overview A leading financial institution is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Risk professional to join its Enterprise Risk Management team. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead critical cyber and technology risk oversight efforts in a dynamic and highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping the firm's risk posture, delivering strategic insights, and collaborating with senior leadership to mitigate emerging threats. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor enterprise-level technology and cyber risk management procedures. Oversee technology risk activities, ensuring timely identification, escalation, tracking, and remediation of key risks. Independently assess cybersecurity risks and ensure alignment with the firm’s risk appetite. Review and challenge first-line control effectiveness and mitigation strategies. Partner with business units and first-line teams to evaluate control environments and enhance risk frameworks. Conduct credible challenge activities and provide independent risk analyses. Analyze control testing results, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Lead efforts in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on technology risk exposures. Conduct and evaluate Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) for control design and operational effectiveness. Deliver clear, actionable risk reporting and insights to senior management. Provide strategic guidance on risk mitigation strategies and influence key stakeholders. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and evolving threat landscapes. Seniority level
