This position is located in the Digital Content Management Section, Digital Collections Management and Services Division, Digital Services Directorate, Library Services.
The position reports to the Head of the Digital Content Management Section and supervises a team of Digital Collections Specialists and Technicians within a new data processing and quality assurance group.
The section manages digital acquisitions, lifecycle of digital collections, web archiving, and collaborates with other units and external organizations to improve digital workflows and content management practices.
Responsibilities include supervising staff up to GS-13 level, planning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and providing feedback. The role involves leading complex projects related to digital content lifecycle management, coordinating tasks, and developing solutions for digital transfer, processing, and management.
The incumbent directs daily operations to ensure efficient digital content ingestion and processing, manages ongoing practices for digital collections access, and advises management on digital content issues.
The position requires establishing effective relationships within the Library and the digital content management community, providing expert analysis, and applying new techniques to address unique challenges in digital lifecycle management.
