Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced
Workday Configuration Consultant
with a strong focus on
Compensation
to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Workday Compensation solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday Compensation, a solid understanding of compensation structures and compliance, and a proven track record of delivering successful implementations or major enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the configuration and deployment of Workday Compensation modules, including base pay, merit, bonus, and advanced compensation plans.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable and compliant Workday configurations.
Conduct gap analyses and recommend system or process improvements to enhance compensation operations.
Configure and maintain compensation templates, eligibility rules, guidelines, and security roles.
Act as the functional lead on Workday Compensation projects, including integrations with payroll and other HR systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, and external consultants to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical Workday team.
Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and communicate configuration decisions and their implications.
Train and support HR and Compensation teams on Workday Compensation tools and best practices.
Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or modified configurations.
Validate data accuracy and system functionality post-implementation.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Workday Compensation-related issues.
Monitor Workday releases and assess their impact on current configurations and business processes.
Ensure data integrity through regular audits, validation routines, and proactive maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in HR systems, with at least 3 years focused on Workday Compensation.
Proven experience leading Workday Compensation implementations or major enhancements.
Strong understanding of compensation structures, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Workday Pro or Partner Certification in Compensation (preferred but not required).
