All full-time employees in this position are required to reside within 30 miles from any border of Tinley Park within 12 months of employment date. Residency in Indiana is not permitted.

We currently seek a talented & motivated individual to join the HR team in the role of

Human Resources Coordinator

to provide benefits administration, leave management support, and coordinate various HR employee programs. Key Responsibilities

This position will primarily manage the day-to-day functions related to employee benefits administration and leave management providing HR support to assist employees in understanding benefit program offerings and time off benefits. Will coordinate benefits administration with benefit broker/consultant, annual benefits open enrollments process, benefit data feed files, annual benefit system updates, benefit vendor on-site or virtual visits, conduct employee benefit meetings, manage benefit communications/portals, administer retiree benefits program, coordinate deduction changes with payroll, and reconcile monthly benefit invoices. Will also work closely with the Assistant HR Director to manage the employee leave process by administering numerous paid and unpaid leave benefits, coordinating with disability & worker's compensation leave vendors, administering Village policies, and coordinating paid benefits with payroll. Will also assist in coordinating HR employee programs including ancillary benefit offerings, deferred compensation, educational incentive tracking, and other HR employee programs. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

Associate's degree is required. Bachelor's degree concentration in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, or Business Administration is preferred. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience including benefits administration and leave management experience is required. Strong computer skills, including experience with benefit systems (ie. Employee Navigator) and experience with NEOGOV Insight, Onboarding, Perform, Learn, and eForms is a plus. SHRM-CP and/or PHR is a plus.

The ideal candidate will possess an outstanding work ethic, positive attitude, and be self-motivated. They will be an experienced benefits professional with solid knowledge of benefits & leave management principles. They will be passionate about assisting employees to understand benefits and leaves of absence while supporting HR office operations. They will be a planner and be able to multi-task, anticipate challenges, and take on new things with excitement in a fast-paced environment. They will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate solid written and presentation skills. They must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and use necessary discretion to protect the privacy of all employee information in accordance with Village policies, procedures, and practices as required by federal and state law.
