Customer Service Representative

Join our team as a Customer Service Representative, a crucial role that supports the success of our retail operations. In this position, you will engage with both wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and provide tailored recommendations. Your focus will be on resolving customer concerns swiftly to ensure outstanding satisfaction, while staying informed about product features and maintaining the store’s high visual standards. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering exceptional customer service to enhance satisfaction and drive sales Assisting customers in-person and over the phone, understanding their needs, and offering suitable products Building strong trust-based relationships with customers Accurately processing sales transactions and adhering to policies Meeting or exceeding sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis Maintaining organized work order files and formulas Pulling products from sales floor or warehouse as needed Tinting and mixing products to meet customer specifications Stocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays Cleaning store equipment and maintaining store presentation Loading and unloading delivery trucks and assisting with deliveries as necessary Ensuring assigned areas remain in-stock and visually appealing Staying well-informed about products and available options Following inventory control procedures Suggesting innovative ways to boost sales This position will be based at our store located at 3955 Rennie School Rd, Traverse City, MI 49685. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years old Must be legally authorized to work without needing visa sponsorship Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation Willingness to work various scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or GED One (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service Previous experience in selling paint and related products Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish At Sherwin-Williams, we strive to inspire and improve the world by enhancing the places and spaces around us.
