Overview: VTG is seeking a Program Analyst in Washington, D.C., to provide technical and analytical support within multiple disciplines including system infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering, and design. The Program Analyst will analyze and evaluate major system project parameters and requirements. This is a hybrid role.
What will you do? As a member of the Warfare Systems Certification Support Team, provide support to execute the Naval Warfare Systems Certification Policy and support the development and deployment of warfare systems throughout the life cycle of U.S. Navy Surface Ships. This includes providing support to monthly assessments of warfare systems within Navy Surface Ships in the form of early assessments of risk and characterization of maturity and readiness to support Risk Assessments for ships in new construction after sail-away and post shakedown availabilities and certification decisions to support the subject ship(s) throughout deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Development Meeting Agendas and Reports
- Development Data-Calls in preparation for WSCERT Events
- Development of WSC Event Assessments and Naval Messages
Do you have what it takes?
Required skills:
- Associates/Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or related technical field; or four (4) or more years of experience with and knowledge of Navy Combat Systems.
- Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Highly motivated individual capable of working independently and/or in teams with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize information from several different sources.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred skills:
- Experience in a Navy shipboard technical rating is a plus but not required.
- Experience with NAVSEA is a plus.
