Preference will be given to juniors and seniors. Purpose: The Student Account Services Associate position offers a valuable opportunity for students pursuing marketing, advertising, communications or related fields to gain real-world experience in a dynamic, client-focused setting. Supporting the marketing and advertising efforts of University Housing and Dining at The University of Texas at Austin, students in this role will work alongside full-time staff and fellow student associates to gain hands-on experience in project coordination, client communications, advertising and marketing strategy. This role is designed to help students grow as emerging communications professionals by bridging classroom learning with real-world application while contributing to initiatives that enhance the campus experience for their fellow Longhorns. The position also emphasizes professional development, teamwork and a comprehensive understanding of how integrated advertising campaigns evolve from idea to reality. Key Responsibilities:
Account Coordination Support: Support account managers in the intake, organization and follow-up of client requests from departments across University Housing and Dining. Help ensure project details are clearly captured and communicated for smooth collaboration with creative and content teams. Internal Client Communications: Assist in the preparation of client-facing materials, including project briefs, status updates, meeting agendas and presentations. Attend internal meetings as needed to take notes and provide logistical support. Project Management Assistance: Help maintain and update project tracking systems, monitor timelines and ensure that deliverables stay on schedule. Contribute to keeping marketing workflows efficient and organized from start to finish. Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of UHD marketing campaigns, including setting up displays, coordinating logistics and supporting event-day operations as needed. Ensure promotional materials are prepped and help create an engaging experience for students and campus partners. Collaborative Team Support: Partner with fellow UHD student associates and full-time staff on cross-functional projects. Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and assist in developing strategies that support broader marketing goals. Administrative Duties: Provide general assistance with scheduling, project coordination and other tasks that keep the UHD marketing team and account services running smoothly.
