Position Summary:
The Floor Manager will serve as a key member of the KATA leadership team, acting as the right hand to the General Manager. In this role, you’ll oversee nightly service operations, lead and develop front-of-house staff, uphold the highest standards of hospitality, and ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily service with a hands-on presence on the floor, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-energy operations.
- Partner with the GM to manage all FOH functions, including staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining service standards, handling guest concerns, and reinforcing a culture of hospitality.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of service.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the venue in accordance with DOH and company standards.
- Participate in inventory management, ordering, and cost control efforts.
- Help lead pre-shift meetings, staff coaching, and continuous training on menu knowledge and service techniques.
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding new team members.
- Support event execution and private dining experiences when applicable.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or nightlife venue.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering elevated guest experiences.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with a collaborative approach.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with POS systems (e.g., Toast), reservations software (e.g., Seven Rooms), and scheduling tools preferred.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
